Summer camps
The Confucius Institute at the University of Graz is an ambassador for Chinese language and culture and a hub between China and Europe. In this function, we invite students and pupils to encounter the fascinating Chinese language on site, to apply and deepen the language skills they have learned in everyday life and to experience Chinese culture up close through our summer camps! We offer summer camps in China and summer camps in Europe.
The summer camps in China are organized annually as a cooperation between the Confucius Institute at the University of Graz and the partner university Shanghai in China. They last about two weeks and focus on specific topics each year. The program and accommodation costs are covered by the Confucius Institute Graz.
Our Summer Camps 2025
In 2025, we are offering two summer camps. One is aimed at students of our language courses with cooperating schools, the second at students of our language courses at the University of Graz and participants of our language courses at cooperating universities. The travel period for both summer camps, including arrival and departure, is expected to be from July 6 to July 19, 2025. Slight deviations are currently still possible.

The selection process is the responsibility of the Confucius Institute and takes into account the “first come, first served” principle when the application form is received, a recommendation from the Chinese teachers and the results of completed Chinese exams (YCT, HSK).
