HSKK exam
HSKK exam, the HSK Speaking Test, "Hanyu Shuiping Kouyu Kaoshi" in Chinese, evaluates the oral Chinese language skills of the participants. HSKK exams consist of three levels: HSKK elementary level, HSKK intermediate level and HSKK advanced level. HSKK is conducted in the form of an audio recording.
Registration for the exam
If you would like to take an exam at the Confucius Institute of the University of Graz, you must register before the registration deadline at on www.chinesetest.cn. The following 3 steps must be followed:
1. log in to www.chinesetest.cn and register for the exam. On the English webpage it is under "Test Taker".
Attention:
- The size of the electronic photo is maximum 100 KB and in JPG format.
- Please enter the correct personal data and the correct test level.
- Under "Test Center" select "Confucius Institute of University of Graz" or test center code "7050300".
2. transfer the examination fee to the following account.

Examination fees
HSKK elementary level (exam code: HSKKE): EURO 15
HSKKintermediate level (exam code: HSKKM) : EURO 25
HSKK upper level (exam code: HSKKO): EURO 35
Changes after registration
After registration and payment of the examination fee, it is no longer possible to cancel the examination. Unfortunately, the examination fee cannot be refunded. However, you can change the examination date in compliance with the following regulations.
- 27 working days (including 27 working days) before the examination, the examination date can be changed free of charge.
- 10 to 26 working days (including 10 working days) before the examination, the examination date may be changed subject to payment of 30% of the examination fee.
- It is not possible to change the examination date within 10 working days.
HSKK exam procedure
1st HSKK elementary level:
The examination time for the HSKK elementary level is 17 minutes, of which participants have 7 minutes to prepare.
The exam consists of 3 parts:
- Listening and repeating (15 tasks, 4 minutes)
- Listening and answering (10 tasks, 3 minutes)
- Answering the questions (2 tasks, 3 minutes)

2. HSKK intermediate level:
The exam time for the HSKK intermediate level is 21 minutes, of which participants have 10 minutes to prepare.
The exam consists of 3 parts:
- Listening and repetition (10 tasks, 3 minutes)
- Listening and answering (2 tasks, 4 minutes)
- Answering the questions (2 tasks, 4 minutes)

3 HSKK upper level:
The examination time for the HSKK upper level is 24 minutes, of which participants have 10 minutes to prepare.
The exam consists of 3 parts:
- Listening and repeating (3 tasks, 7 minutes)
- Reading aloud (1 task, 2 minutes)
- Answering the questions (2 tasks, 5 minutes)

The exams in the "Home Edition" form take place online. This means that participants can take the exams at home if they fulfill certain requirements. Requirements and important information about the "Home Edition" exams can be found under "Home Edition".
Materials required for the test
- Identity card or passport
- Admission ticket (you will receive this after registration)
- Pencil (hardness 2B), eraser and ballpoint pen
Receipt of examination results
As an exam participant, you can check the exam result 30 days (14 days for "Home Edition" exams) after the exam on the website www.chinesetest.cn by entering your name and admission ticket number.
Receipt of the certificate
As soon as you see your result, you can also download your certificate and print it out yourself a maximum of three times.
The certificate will be sent to the Confucius Institute at the Karl-Franzens-University Graz within 30 to 60 days after the exam. You can make an appointment by e-mail konfuzius(at)uni-graz.at in advance and collect your certificate on presentation of your passport.
