Centers for specialised cooperation
The initiation or establishment of cross-border centers focusing on "business, science and research" and the development of a cooperation mechanism to create a win-win situation act as an incubator to promote scientific and technological progress and economic development and improve the quality of life in the age of globalization. As mentioned in Chapter 8.2 "Research", five major research centers have been established at the initiative and with the support of the Confucius Institute Graz, all project partners have also successfully implemented cooperation projects in the fields of science & technology, business, law, elderly care & medicine and the industrial sector with the help of the Institute, and the results are rich.
Since 2014, the following five bilateral research centers have been successfully established on the initiative of the Confucius Institute Graz:
- Sino-Austria Electronic Technology Innovation Center
- Sino-Austrian Schumpeter Innovation Center
- Center for Advanced Studies in Chinese-European Legal Governance and Politics
- Sino-Austrian Green Tech Cluster Innovation Center
- Albert Schweitzer Competence Center China
Project contracts
The signing of cooperation agreements initiated by the Confucius Institute is significant. Various project agreements have been signed since 2016, such as
- the project cooperation agreement between the University of Shanghai in China and the Green Tech Cluster in Styria in Austria
- the agreement on a strategic partnership between the University of Nanjing in China and the University of Graz in Austria
- the agreement on talent development between the University of Jiangsu in China and the University of Graz in Austria,
- the framework agreement on cooperation between the education authority of the city of Wenzhou in China and the education directorate for Styria in Austria,
- the framework agreement on cooperation between the education authority of the city of Wenzhou in China and the city of Weiz in Austria, etc.
